This lovely stenciled french vintage hollow soup plate was made by famous french manufacturer 'Digoin Sarreguemines' and is part of the series "Marinette". It is very similar to the series Nina Rose, Juliette, etc.

The colors are lovely in the stenciled marinette design of a carnation and a rose. The pattern is grey-blue and deep pink on a white-ivory background. It is thought to be from the 1950’s.

The Sarreguemines pottery was first established in the Lorraine town of the same name during the French Revolution. It became Digoin Sarreguemines after the 1st World War.

Each Stamped on the back "Marinette - Digoin Sarreguemines France’ – Made in France

PLEASE NOTE: I have 4 hollow soup plates left in stock but the price is for ONE 1 Plate. The listing is programmed to allow you to select a quantity you wish to purchase. Please ask me if the shipping doesn't make sense as the system is NOT programmed in France to calculate the shipping automatically so it's a manual entry subject to error. If the shipping is not correct, I always refund overages when processing my orders.

--- Condition ---

In very good vintage condition, there are small signs of usage such as minor pattern fading/bleeding marks, slight utensil marks on the surface and small manufacturing bumps/marks on the surface as shown in the photos. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. Please take a look at the photos closely and use zoom for detail.

These items are old, were used and were manufactured at a time when processes were less under control as today. Therefore, in addition to the defects identified and reported in the ad, slight dimensional differences or deviations in the color or in the decoration between the different parts could be noted. Besides, some little marks or small manufacturing imperfections such as minor defects in the glaze or in the varnish etc., may also be observed.
